Install Real Player for Video Capabilities

Install the FREE Real Player 8 Basic, which you can download from http://www.real.com/player/index.html?. We provide tips for downloading Real Player at the bottom of this page.

Before participating, it's recommended that you practice viewing a previous Estuary Live to test Real Player and ensure you are connected properly.

We would like to as many people to participate in Estuary Live as possible. To ensure everyone will be able to connect to the site, we recommend that you ask students to share computers while viewing the program. If your entire classroom can use one large screen, that would be even better.

Further technical information on Estuary Live is posted on www.estuarylive.org.

HINT 3 – If your computer only has a black screen but yet you are hearing sound you may have to adjust the color on the monitor. Call your tech person to help you.

HINT 4 – Ideally it is best to have three computers set up and running. One would be used to view the LIVE program, one would be used to send e-mail messages to ask questions, and the last to use for research purposes.

HINT 5 – To send an e-mail message to Estuary Live you must scroll down to the bottom of the REAL GATEWAY VIDEO page. Enter all information with your question. Click on send. You will get a message stating that your message has been sent. To RETURN back to the e-mail screen click RETURN TO FORM.
